First Post in 2012!

I haven't been writing for some time. As usual, somehow I tend to forget that I have a blog. Lol. That's how I lost my own domain before this. Eek. Oh well. No regrets as I don't blog so often anyway. Hehehe.

Just thought of dropping a note for 2012 here. It's the second Saturday of the new year!!! Woohoo!!! May this year be better than the last!!! (*^_^*)

Here's an interesting post by my cousin which I think should be shared to everyone out there! http://terrylabunda.com/miscellaneous/take-me-home-im-a-bookcrossing-book/

Last words ~ Make the best of everything! That way, you'll have no regrets in life! ♥

Sushi Tei at Tropicana City Mall

Sushi Tei is another favourite Japanese restaurant of mine! (*^_^*)

Sushi Tei is located at the Ground Floor of Tropicana City Mall, opposite the Artista Bar & Cafe.

There is usually quite a long line of people lining up to eat at Sushi Tei though. So at guests have to be patient during peak hours especially. But I would say, it is worth the wait! Hehe. Here's a tip: Go in a group of 4. It is easier and faster to accommodate a table for a group of 4 people! (^_−)−☆

The interior of Sushi Tei is quite nicely decorated too. Japanese wine decorates the wall at some part. Hehe.

I like the cup that is used to serve hot ocha (green tea) there too. Sooo pretty! (^^)/~~~

Okay here are some of the yummy food there ~

Cawamunshi (steam egg with mushroom, prawns, etc.) here is yummy.

The Ikuro Cawamunshi (with Salmon Roe) is yummy too! (*^_^*)

Salmon Sashimi & Ikuro Don. Mmmmmmmm so yummy! The salmon sashimi is so fresh and the salmon roe tasted so sweet!

My usual favourite - Salmon Sashimi. Mmmmmmmm yummy! ♥

Unagi Don. Unagi is Eel. Eel is yummy too. Especially in Teriyaki sauce. Hehehe.

This is baked rice with chicken and egg. My friends ordered this. I didn't tried it. Looks yummy and yeah for sure yummy coz my friends finished all the rice off the square box! σ(^_^;)

Grilled Salmon Head. Oooo so juicy and super delicious!

Soft Shell Crab - fried nicely to perfection. Tasted just nice too.

Tako Sashimi. Tako means Octopus. My friend love this. Looks really fresh eh!

After all those meals, there was definitely no room for desserts in the tummy edi! LOL. The desserts selection in the menu looks tempting though. Will prolly try next time. Hehe.

Bubble Tea Frenzy

Lately there is this Bubble Tea Frenzy @ Craze that has been going on. It is like a modern kind of addiction out there! Haha.

Heee... and yes, I have to confess that I am succumbed into this 'addiction' as well. Haha. (*^_^*)

I always like Bubble Tea because of the sweet taste and the pearl inside. But only when a friend of mine introduced me to Chatime, that's when the 'addiction' begins! xD

This is the Chatime at Berjaya Times Square. Will usually have a long line queuing up to buy bubble tea and another line waiting to pick up the bubble tea at the other end.

My favourite is the Milk Tea with extra pearls of course! LOL. I like the pearls in Chatime. They're big with soft texture and chewable size!

There are of course other outlets selling bubble tea too. Like this one at Pavilion - Ochado.

Ochado Bubble Tea shop is located at Tokyo Street (level 6, Pavilion). I used to see quite a long queue of customers there as well. So I decided to give it a try. I ordered my usual Bubble Milk Tea with extra pearl and only 75% of sugar (apparently that is what they recommended).

Well, the taste of the Milk Tea is not bad. But... The PEARL JELLY are quite a disappointment for me. The pearl jelly used in Ochado are a lot smaller than the usual. The texture of the pearl is also slightly harder and not that fun to chew. LOL. But then again this would be based on individual's preference I guess.

Well, whatever it is... My current favourite Bubble Tea shop is - GONG CHA!!!

Gong Cha signature green tea is the best, I think! The difference between Gong Cha and Chatime or other Bubble Tea shops is the milk that they used. For Gong Cha, the milk is not mixed in the tea when the plastic glass is sealed.

Instead, the milk is in the form of milk froth layering the top of your Bubble Tea. AND... There are 3 special ways to drink your Gong Cha! LOL ~

1. By removing the plastic cover and sipping the milk froth right from the glass (try to get a sip of the tea at the same time while sipping the milk!) - This is the best way to drink it! Haha.

2. By poking your straw through the plastic cover and drinking the Bubble Tea without mixing the milk froth. This is good for those who wants to 'taste' the tea.

3. The classic way - By shaking your Bubble Tea to mix the milk and tea evenly before poking your straw inside for a sip! (My second favourite way of drinking it. LOL)

Usually when I order my Gong Cha I will of course ask for extra pearls too and with only 70% of sugar level. Actually even 50% of sugar level is not so bad. Still sweet and yummy. Oh I love Gong Cha! Haha.

The only Gong Cha outlet that I know of is at KLCC though - Opposite Maybank & Guardian, near Auntie Anne's Pretzel.

I'm gonna get my Gong Cha fix tomorrow! Haha (^_−)−☆

Tonkatsu by Wa Kitchen @ Pavilion, Bukit Bintang

Tonkatsu by Wa Kitchen is a Japanese restaurant at level 6 of Pavilion Shopping Mall, Bukit Bintang.

Tonkatsu is located at level 6 [same level with Tokyo Street (*^_^*)]. It is at the corner near the escalator facing the main entrance wing.

Tonkatsu is not like any other Japanese restaurant though because -

1. It serves pork
2. There's no sashimi (oh no! xD)
3. There's no sushi (heeeee)

The choices of food on the menu is also quite limited actually. Nevertheless, the food is fairly good.

I like Tonkatsu because of the nice ambience and pretty deco actually. Haha.

The main colour of the restaurant is brown. I like! Feels very calming. That's a pot of hot green tea for me (pic).

The service is also good. Waiters and waitresses are polite, nice and friendly. Food arrived fast too.

Every table has these (pic) - a small bowl of sesame seeds, a small jug of brown sauce and a bottle of salad dressing.

The sesame seeds are are supposed to be grind using the wooden grinder and wooden bowl in the first pic above. The smell of the sesame seeds is sooo nice and yummy once they are grounded!

The food are reasonable priced too. Can use either from the set meals that they have or the Ala carte dishes, up to what you fancy.

This set is just pork and pork and pork. LOL. This is set no. 4 (see pic no. 4 above)

This is set no. 3 - Pork and Prawns. Yummy! (^_−)−☆

Actually even the miso soup has pork in it. Which makes the soup yummier! Hehehe.

Cawamunshi does not come with the set meal that I ordered though. So had to order separately. I have to say that this place has the best Cawamunshi in KL! LOL. Prolly because it has pork too! xD

Tonkatsu has nice selection of desserts too! But I was already too full at the end of the dinner so I decided not to have any desserts. Maybe one day I will try the pretty looking desserts there! (^_−)−☆

Lynly's Last Day of Pupillage ~ Lunch at Kimuro Japanese Restaurant

Yesterday (16 Nov 2011) was Lynly's last day of pupillage. Some of us decided to treat her to a nice Japanese meal for lunch. So we went to my favourite Japanese restaurant, Kimuro at Corus Hotel, Jalan Ampang.

Kimuro is quite near to our office and it is very convenient to walk there though the shaded walkway alongside some nice condominiums there.

Lynly was excited to see the restaurant because it is sooo pretty! I love the concept too! Where there are small private rooms or cubicles made of woods for each group of guests.

The lunch menu is awesome too. Various set to choose from. Me of course always enjoy my set of Salmon Sashimi! Haha. Lynly ordered the same too! (Great minds think alike! Haha)

Here are some of the photos that we took ~

Lynly checking out the lunch menu (*^_^*)

Nice table deco. Lol

Yummy appetiser ~ Some veggies with fish strips

Salmon Sashimi Bento Set! Yummy! (*^_^*)

The Salmon Sashimi came served on a box of ice to ensure freshness. The set also came with a bowl of rice, miso soup, chawamunshi, pickles and fruits!

Tempura Set for those whose not a fan of sashimi a.k.a. raw fish! Lol
